The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, is the first pharmacy faculty in Thailand. Throughout its history, the Faculty has consistently fulfilled its core missions, which include producing graduates across various disciplines, building academic and research networks, and fostering international collaborations. The development of internationally recognized research standards has served as a vital mechanism encouraging faculty members and researchers to conduct ongoing research, exchange skills and experiences with peers from other institutions, and stay abreast of advancements in their fields. This effort not only contributes to the enhancement of future research but also promotes the Faculty’s academic reputation within the global pharmaceutical community. As a result, numerous research works from the Faculty have been published in prestigious international journals.

To further this mission, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has continuously organized the Annual Scientific Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences, encompassing pharmacy and health sciences disciplines. This conference, held annually since 1982, is one of the longest-running pharmacy conferences in Thailand and is widely recognized among scholars nationwide. Each year, a large number of research works from all pharmacy fields are submitted and presented. This annual conference serves as a vital academic platform where faculty members, researchers, graduate students from pharmacy and related fields, as well as interested participants from various institutions across the country, can present their research, exchange knowledge and experiences, and explore the practical applications of their work.

This year, the meeting has been elevated to an international level, providing not only a platform for Thai researchers to showcase their work but also an opportunity to engage and learn from international researchers. This enhances international collaboration and strengthens the global research network among Thai and foreign scholars and institutions.

The 40th International Annual Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences (IAMPS40) will welcome faculty members, researchers, and graduate students from pharmacy faculties and health science-related fields nationwide. Themed "Advancing Pharmaceutical Sciences Through a Multidisciplinary Approach", the event will be held from November 13–14, 2025, at the Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok. All participants can attend without taking leave from their respective institutions and may be eligible for reimbursement of related expenses in accordance with official regulations or the policies of their affiliated organizations. Continuing Education (CE) credits certified by the Pharmacy Council of Thailand will be awarded to participating pharmacists.

The conference will feature keynote lectures by distinguished speakers, as well as research presentations by approximately 250 Thai and international researchers, including poster presentations and oral presentations across the following thematic areas:
1.Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Natural Products
2.Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
3.Pharmaceutical Technology and Cosmetic Sciences
4.Clinical and Social/Administrative Pharmacy

To broaden the impact of the research presented, accepted works will be published in a conference proceedings volume, either as abstracts or abstracts with full papers (up to 5 A4 pages in the required format). All submissions will undergo peer review by a committee to ensure quality and relevance before publication.

Additionally, two major awards will be presented:

•The “Professor Emeritus Dr. Vichien Jeeravong Award” for outstanding herbal research.
•The “Nagai Award Thailand 2025” (26th edition) for outstanding publications in internationally recognized journals. This award, sponsored by Professor Tsuneji Nagai, President of The Nagai Foundation, is a prestigious and highly regarded accolade in the field of
pharmaceutical sciences. Professor Nagai himself will present the awards.

The three Nagai Awards are:

1.Two awards for outstanding publications in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
2.One award for outstanding publication in Pharmacy Practice / Social and Administrative Pharmacy.

1.To disseminate and exchange knowledge and academic work among Thai and international researchers, providing a platform for sharing research experiences, academic insights, technologies, and innovations. This interaction aims to foster future collaborations and establish academic and research networks, both at the individual and institutional levels.

2.To provide opportunities for pharmacists, faculty members, academics, researchers, graduate students, and interested individuals from various public and private sector organizations to present their research on an international stage. This supports the advancement and global leadership of Thailand in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
